Rating: D |
Construction
Comments:
Dark walnut brown wrapper with a few heavy veins. |
Pre-light
Aroma and Flavor:
Dark earthy and sweet tobacco. |
Burn:
Straight burn with solid off-white ash |
Drink:
Water |
Smoking Notes:
Cardboardy and burning leaf flavors with some dark woody tobacco notes and
a bit of tartness and an acrid harshness on the finish. A very monolithic
smoke, it failed to develop any significant flavors, remaining the same
thru halfway at which point I mercifully pitched it. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
This is a D. There was absolutely nothing to recommend here. While not the
most offensive I've ever had it is still a solid D. Even my wife remarked
that it must not be one of my regular smokes since it stunk so bad. She
likened the aroma to burning leaves mixed with garbage. I am only
interested in the brand so I can avoid it in the future. |

Reviewer 2: Iceman Rating: B |
Construction Comments:
This cigar had a dark chocolate brown color wrapper with no flaws and some
tooth. A nice firm roll with no soft spots. This cigar was 6” long with a
50/52 ring. A torpedo size. Very nice looking cigar. |
Pre-light Aroma and Flavor:
This cigar had a very nice leathery smell. |
Burn:
I toasted the foot and lit with a single flame torch. I used a double
guillotine to open the head. It lit easily and evenly. No re-light was
needed. Even burn with a nice burn rate. |
Drink:
Diet Coke |
Smoking Notes:
This cigar had a leathery taste with a few hints of what reminded me of
coffee that I loved. It had a nice easy draw that gave me lots of creamy
smoke. This was a medium bodied cigar that was very full flavored. The
draw got a bit tight about halfway through but a gentle roll of the
tapered end and the draw was nice and easy again. The wrapper was not
impacted by rolling. A well manufactured cigar. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
This cigar was very good and loaded with flavor. Lots of great tasting
smoke. I really enjoyed this cigar and after it was done I would have
preferred a full flavor Lager or Pale Ale instead of a Diet Coke. This
cigar had a taste that would have complimented a hoppy drink. Overall

This smoke was by far the best of the bunch! It had no burn issues.....
never traveled.... wonderful draw..... great-thick-smoke....... and VERY
creamy, yet medium to full flavor! I'm getting excited just typing this!
The roll was nice. A good flavor, burn, draw and smoke....... I overlooked
the appearance. Maybe it just didn't like being shipped in a box... and
would have enjoyed a limo ride to my ash-try. ;) A very nice A - smoke for
me. |

Reviewer 4: Denahue Rating: A+ |
Construction Comments:
Well built showing some minor veins. The cigar was firm to the touch with
a oily wrapper. The initial cut was clean, and the draw was clear. |
Pre-light Aroma and Flavor:
|
Burn:
The initial light, after toasting the foot, was very sharp, and remained
razor sharp through out the test. The ash was a very light gray in color
although a bit crumbly when tapped. The initial draw was clear, and full
of smoke. It remained that way through the smoke. The resting aroma to me
was cocoa and cedar. |
Drink:
Kenya AA Coffee |
Smoking Notes:
The smoke started with a sweet cocoa flavor, and rapidly progressed with a
touch of coffee. It didn't take long for the coffee to gain strength, and
for it to pick up caramel and nuts. By the time it finished, it had a VERY
complex mix going. |
Overall Experience and Rating:
I would recommend this cigar to any smoker who adores the darker leaf
smokes! I think it would go well with most strong coffee's, Brandy,
Cognac, or any Single malt! It wouldn't do so well with Beer or Wine,
unless extremely dry.
I give this smoke an A+ and would smoke it again, and again. |
