At first glance, the Vice Press 6T4 reminds me of a dark chocolate bar. The wrapper is very dark and oily. There are a few small veins that are present, and the cigar appears to be smooth overall. The pressed shape looks good and is executed in a neat manner. The thickness of the 6T4 is also very apparent. The brown band near the head has a simple, yet modern design that displays the Alec Bradley and Vice Press labels. The cigar is firm from head to foot, and construction seems to be satisfactory. The pre-light aroma and taste keep in line with the 6T4's look, as they are both chocolatey.

After striking this thick stick with my lighter, the burn is a mixed bag. The draw is good and there's a lot of smoke, but the burn is uneven and requires some touch-ups here and there. The dark gray ash is flaky.

Moving into the flavor department, the Vice Press 6T4 does not seem to be too complex. That's not to say its flavors are not enjoyable, however. Some just might find them to be on the one-dimensional side. The cigar begins with chocolate, which is not much of a surprise. This tasty introduction dominates the first third. The second third brings sweetness and coffee to the table. The final third brings back some more chocolate as well as earthy notes. Not a lot of variety here, but it is smooth.

Is the Alec Bradley Vice Press a can't miss? Probably not. It was enjoyable though. The presentation was solid, the burn was far from perfect, and the flavor was good, even though it lacked complexity. If you are a fan of Alec Bradley cigars, give it a shot. Also, if you like your cigars thick then it might be your cup of tea. Otherwise, the ring gauge may be tough to handle. At around $7 each, the 6T4 is not cheap, but it is a quality product from a quality brand, so keep that in mind. You can also find the cigar in packs of five or boxes of 20.

The Alec Bradley Vice Press 6T4 earns a rating of 3.25 out of four stars.
