OK it's amature review hour again...LOL
Picked up a box of Corona Gorda Maduro's last week. I enjoy trying new smokes
that are reasonably priced and since the Series R is my favorite I thought these
LGC's might provide some good smoking pleasure at a good value - $3.73 each with
the box price.
These Maduros are sized at 6"x52.
Wrapper: Ecudorian
Filler: Dominican long filler.
The taste is similar to the Series R, however, they are a little milder & I
would consider these to be a medium bodied smoke gaining more strength and
flavor past the halfway point. Admittedly I like strong cigars.
Overall a very enjoyable cigar. The only negative was the uneven burn which I
kept having to correct with my lighter. Not something i'm accustomed to with
LGC'S. Anyone else tried these? I think i'll remove the plastic wrapper and
allow these to dry out a little.
I prefer to keep my humidor at 65%, as I find cigars burn better if they are
slightly on the dry side.
All in all for the price they were good. Not great, only because of the uneven
burn.
