The Atlantic 15th Anniversary Toro has an impressive appearance highlighted by its pair of decorative bands. The top band displays the E.P. Carrillo name and logo, while the bottom band displays the Atlantic Cigar 15th Anniversary label. Both bands feature black and silver which looks great against the dark brown wrapper. A few medium sized veins are present. The wrapper is a tad oily and the cigar feels firm to the touch. I pick up an earthy aroma prior to lighting and a cold taste that offers up some coffee and spice.
After lighting the Atlantic 15th Anniversary Toro the cigar burns without any major issues to report. The draw is good and only a couple of minor touch-ups are needed. The dark gray ash holds firm past an inch. In all, the smoking experience lasts for a little over an hour and a half.
The flavor of the E.P. Carrillo Atlantic 15th Anniversary Natural is quite good and complex. It has a spicy beginning that awakens my senses. I also notice some earth and wood in the first third. The spicy pepper reaches full-bodied mode in the second third, and here I detect sweetness and chocolate. The final third caps things off with earth, chocolate, and leather.
The E.P. Carrillo Atlantic 15th Anniversary is another solid exclusive produced for Atlantic Cigar. The cigar did well in all aspects and really offered up some nice flavor transitions. I’d call it a good choice for either beginners or experienced smokers. If you’re a Maduro fan, give this one an extra look. A single sells for about $10, and you can also pick it up in boxes of 10.
The E.P. Carrillo Atlantic 15th Anniversary earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
