Hmmm, another limited edition cigar, dressed up with a gold accented second band, rich looking cocoa wrapper, and of course a price befitting these beauty pageant additions. So what do you get? Read on. Be thankful these were limited editions. Your not going to find scores of people running to their local tobacconists offering up their first born for the next shipment of Montecristo Habana Selection Robusto Limited Edition. Granted the beauty of this cigar raises your expectations, and makes for good "humidor candy" in the top row, but that's where the fun stops. We at Top25Cigar are starting to wonder about the regaled Habana 2000 wrapper. We haven't yet reviewed a cigar where anything special was noted…and that's being nice. The wrapper here was veiny and rich looking, expectant of a robust flavor, but it wasn't there. In fact not much was there. What's the buzz on these? Better luck with Habana 3000. We descended downhill when we speak about construction. The ash was flaky and uneven; it dropped off from the breeze generated by rotating your eyes to look at it. Three of the reviewers mentioned having to re-light this cigar multiple times. A couple of them thought this was a sign they should end the punishment they were imputing on their taste buds…and you thought you wanted to be a guest reviewer! How about that taste, no, how about that aftertaste? They should have called this a millennium edition cigar, then you could better understand the staying power of this cigars post-taste. Made one lucky reviewer quote " I wanted to scrub my tongue with a wire brush." Starting out mild, this dark smoke turned bitter quicker than Rasheed Wallace turns on the officials. We've been told you can't get these cigars anymore, be thankful, and think of us stuck with another box of these duds, it may at least make YOU smile. Vital Statistics: Shape = Robusto Length = 5" RG = 50 Wrapper = H2000 Filler = D.R. Binder = D.R. Est. Cost = $7.75
