Add a little spice to the regular Montecristo line and you get the "le Cigare Des Arts".
Add a little spice to the regular Montecristo line and you get the "le Cigare Des Arts". That may be a bit of oversimplification, but this is a solid cigar. Fans of the standard Dominican line of Montecristo, will almost certainly like this. The quality and continuity in the two lines of cigars are mirrored.
As we mentioned, a bit of bite accompanies this little robusto. Dressed up with it's gorgeous band (impressionist version of Paris in the 1920's) the wrapper seems to flow in it's beauty. One reviewer mentioned some rough spots in the leaf, and in going back to look at some of our other samples, his comments were verified. Nothing that distracts much from the cigar though. A beautiful white ash hangs solidly while enjoying. A noticeable white when compared with other Dominican filled cigars.
The flavor of this cigar drew some interesting reviews. Those that liked a stronger cigar all raved about the taste imparted by the Rothschild. What we found interesting though, was those known to like a milder smoke also mentioned enjoying the "smarter" taste, adding how it was able to stand apart without overpowering the palate.
We look forward to testing some of the other lines in the "le Cigare Des Arts", wondering if a bigger cigar in the series might prove to be to much. There's only one way to find out...maybe we'll shoot for the monster size "A"!
Check this cigar out, you may pay a bit for your journey to impressionist Paris, but in this case, viva le France!
