The Cuenca y Blanco Toro Supremo gives off a good first impression with its chocolate brown wrapper.  It’s oily and features a few small veins.  I notice no imperfections at all.  The cigar feels firm to the touch and has an aroma that is spicy.  Its pre-light flavor, meanwhile, is a mix of spice and earth.  The decorative band near the head stands out nicely.  It displays the Cuenca y Blanco name in red and gold, along with some light blue thrown in.

After lighting the Toro Supremo, the cigar exhibits a satisfactory burn.  The draw is just right, and the gray ash is solid.  The cigar gives off a good amount of smoke and takes about 75 minutes to finish.  Zero touch-ups are needed, and the same holds true for re-lights.

The flavor department is where things get very interesting with the Cuenca y Blanco.  There’s a ton of flavor packed into the cigar, and its multinational variety of tobaccos really shine through.  The first third is a blend of chocolate, earth, and spice.  The second third picks up strength with the spice, and also offers notes of coffee, wood, and leather.  The final third is a mix of chocolate, coffee, earth, and some sweetness.

For the brand’s first cigar, the Cuenca y Blanco Toro Supremo is a hit.  It offered plenty of flavor that kept me wishing the cigar would never end.  I would recommend it to experienced smokers who enjoy medium to full-bodied sticks that are very flavorful.  A single is around $8 to $9, which isn’t cheap, but you are getting quality in return for your money.  You can also find the Toro Supremo in packs of five or boxes of 21.  It is box-worthy.

The Cuenca y Blanco Toro Supremo earns a rating of four out of four stars.
