Once again, this Nub selection is odd to look at due to the combination of its short length and fat ring gauge. The Connecticut wrapper looks great with its golden color and slight sheen of oil. Only a few small veins are visible. The wrapper has a nice design. It displays the Nub Connecticut name and has a beige and gold color scheme that match the wrapper to perfection. As expected, the cigar feels very firm to the touch with no soft spots. It's hard to get a hold on the pre-light scent and cold taste. If I had to pick, however, I would say that they are reminiscent of very mild spice.

Lighting the Nub Connecticut 460 takes a while, but once accomplished, the cigar burns well. The burn is even and only requires one touch-up. The ash is gray and solid in form. The draw is just right.

The flavors of the Connecticut 460 are not too complex, but it is a smooth and enjoyable cigar. The first third offers up notes of wood and cedar. Halfway into the cigar a good dose of creaminess appears. Some nuts are also apparent. The final third is characterized by mild spice.

Overall, the Nub Connecticut 460 offered a solid smoking experience. The construction and burn were solid, and the flavors, although not complex, were smooth and creamy. This is a good cigar for a beginner or someone looking for a mild treat with their cup of coffee in the morning. You can find the cigar in packs of five or boxes of 24. A single costs around $5 to $6, which is not bad.

The Nub Connecticut 460 earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
