Ashton San Cristobal Guajiro

The Ashton San Cristobal Guajiro is the result of a partnership between Ashton and Don Pepin Garcia. Apparently Ashton has waited over 20 years to release a cigar bearing the San Cristobal name, and waited for the partnership to occur to finally pull the trigger. The Ashton San Cristobal Guajiro measures 6.625 x 46. It is a Nicaraguan puro, as its filler, wrapper, and binder all come from the same nation. The Nicaraguan wrapper used gives the Ashton San Cristobal Guajiro a dark, oily appearance marked by veins. The San Cristobal Guajiro is a triple capped cigar and has a bit of a “tail” protruding from its head. It has a large, flashy band that is definitely eye-catching. The band is mostly gold and yellow but highlighted by a large, detailed, red parrot in the center, which is a very nice touch. Pre-lighting, the cigar has an earthy smell and taste to it.
The Ashton San Cristobal Guajiro burns well once in action. Flavor is where the cigar really seems to shine, and it has a tendency to transition from earthy to sweet with minor fluctuations in between. You can expect your palate to be taken on a joyride marked by several flavors including but not limited to spicy, creamy, nutty, coffee, and chocolate. Its variety of flavors present the opportunity to enjoy it with different types of drinks according to your liking.
Alone, the flavors experienced while smoking the Ashton San Cristobal Guajiro make it a worthy smoke. One issue for some could be the price, but you do get what you pay for. The Ashton San Cristobal Guajiro costs about $10 for a single, and receives a rating of four stars.
Stay tuned for more reviews in the future, and until then, happy smoking!
