I don’t know why, but I tend to find cigars with lighter wrappers more attractive than those with dark wrappers, and the Aging Room Havao fits this bill. The golden brown wrapper looks great under light and showcases some oil. Some very fine veins are visible, but no major imperfections are detected. The band near the head displays the Aging Room name, while the one at the foot displays the Havao label. Both feature light colors that blend in nicely with the wrapper. The cigar feels firm to the touch and is very smooth. Before lighting, there is an aroma of wood. The cold taste, meanwhile, is a tad spicy.
The burn of the Aging Room Havao is very good. The draw is just right and the cigar produces a nice volume of smoke. A few touch-ups are needed here and there. The light gray ash is firm in nature.
The spice I detected in the cold taste is the first flavor that appears when smoking the Aging Room Havao Treble. The first third is also quite creamy and sweet. The second third continues this sweet and creamy theme and introduces some wood into the mix. The final third brings the first third’s spice back and finishes things off with more creamy notes.
I wouldn’t call the Aging Room Havao too complex, but I can say that it is very smooth and pleasant. Keeping that in mind, I would definitely like to give it another try one morning with a cup of coffee to start my day off right. It’s medium-bodied all the way, so beginners can give it a shot as well. You can find the Havao Treble at around $5 to $6 per single and in boxes of 20.
The Aging Room Havao Treble earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
