Unfortunately, the flavor of the Padilla Artemis Toro is somewhat average. It starts off with a burst of pepper that is soon met by earthiness. The second third transitions to sweetness and cedar. The cigar wraps things up in the final third with more spicy pepper and earth. The pepper is never harsh, but it does give the cigar a tiny kick.
The Padilla Artemis Toro is definitely a solid smoke, but it is not a memorable one. I can’t complain about the burn or presentation, but the flavor was just lacking and failed to keep my attention. I would recommend it to those who follow the Padilla brand or who want something mildly spicy with medium-bodied strength. At around $11 per single, I feel as if there are better options on the market. It can’t hurt to give one a try, however, as you may enjoy it more than I did.
The Padilla Artemis Toro earns a rating of 3.25 out of four stars.
La Flor Dominicana Factory Press IV

The La Flor Dominicana Factory Press IV is a newer, limited release from the brand that became available near the end of 2011. It’s the fourth release in the Factory Press series, which showcases cigars with distinct pressed shapes. What makes this series unique is that it is actually being shipped in the actual factory press so customers can see what gives the cigars their rigid design.
The Factory Press IV is a large cigar that measures 6 ½ x 60. The cigar has a filler grown at the La Canela farm in the Dominican Republic. The binder is Ecuadorian, and topping off the cigar is a Mexican Maduro wrapper. Like many other La Flor Dominicana selections, the Factory Press IV is listed as full-bodied in strength.
