Romeo Y Julieta Museum Edition
This is another cigar I have taken a peek at in the Churchill category. Does the Corona Gordas stack up against its cousin? Only one way to find out!
This romantic cigar is named after the Shakespearean characters, and the line is said to have created the famous “Churchill” shape. The company has a long and rich history, being founded way back in 1875. It has won many awards, and is known to be one of the best brands in the world.
Okay, enough butt-kissing. This cigar carries a very oily, thick Mexican wrapper that slides over the lips in a pleasant sort of way. Its insidy-parts boast a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a filler from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. It has a decent size, rolls nicely between the fingers, and draws really smooth.
Taste wise, you can expect a variety of flavors. We’re talking cedar, cherry, malt, and pistachio nut. A truly lovely full-bodied cigar.

Hoyo De Tradicion Toro
Hoyo De Monterrey is royalty among cigars. It is a fan favorite amongst the elite, from Washington to Hollywood to Bollywood. Known for their majestic Ometepe tobacco that I discussed in an earlier article, Hoyo makes some of the best cigars out there. Does this guy carry on in that rich tradition?
Wrapped in a Honduran wrapper and bound by a Connecticut Habano tobacco (and let’s not forget the Honduran filler), this cigar is dark and coated in oil with an interesting pressed shape that feels kind of neat in the mouth and hands.
The taste is very sweet with some nice cedar undertones and blends of coffee in-between. If you don’t enjoy the flavor of this one, your taste buds are dead. Great draw and an even burn. Tradicion, I applaud thee!
