The Serie O Toro appears to be well-constructed, and it lacks any major flaws. The wrapper is somewhat dark with a nice oily sheen. There are very few small veins that are visible, and the cigar looks silky smooth. A simple, yet attractive band sits near the head. It displays the Oliva brand name with an O right beneath it to denote the specific cigar line. The gold, white, and red used for the band add a nice touch to the overall look. There are no soft spots, and the Toro seems to be well-packed with tobacco. Before lighting, its has a spicy cold taste and has an aroma of coffee.

After being lit, the Serie O Toro burns free of any major issues. Its ash is white and bright, and it is solid as well. The cigar has an easy draw and produces plenty of smoke. The burn is razor sharp on its own, making touch-ups unnecessary. It did need a re-light in the final third, however.

The Serie O Toro continues to impress in the flavor department. It begins with a burst of spice that is just strong enough to wake up your senses without bowling you over. A rich tobacco flavor soon follows, and it later gives way to some notes of cedar. Rich coffee is the final flavor that is noticeable.

Oliva usually tends to produce quality sticks, and the Serie O Toro is no different. There's nothing amazing about the cigar, but it offers a very steady and enjoyable smoking experience. The Serie O has a good amount of flavor and some complexity. It also has a decent amount of strength without being harsh. In short, it looks, burns, and tastes good. Anyone who enjoys Oliva cigars or Nicaraguan Puros will likely be impressed by the Serie O. You can find a single for around $5, which is a good value when you consider the quality you are getting. It also comes in packs of five or boxes of 20. I think it's safe to say that the Serie O is box-worthy and can be enjoyed during any occasion.

The solid value and flavor of the Oliva Serie O Toro earn it a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
