The Winston Churchill No. 10 burns rather slowly and pretty even until you get towards the end.  The overall flavors experienced with the Winston Churchill No. 10 are mild for the most part.  You can expect a milder, creamy and sweet flavor, which eventually gives way to some hints of cinnamon and even brown sugar.  There is also a rather interesting tobacco flavor that kicks in as well, giving you a nice little rollercoaster of flavors.  The mild flavors make it a good choice to enjoy with some of your favorite coffee.

Like its namesake, the Winston Churchill No. 10 is a quality product.  Since it is not your run of the mill cigar, the price may be a bit high for some at $15 for a single.  You do get what you pay for, however, and Davidoff was not lying when they spoke highly of their special blend of tobacco as it does make for a very flavorful smoke.  That being said, if you do want a cigar for a special occasion, you really cannot go wrong here, especially if you prefer cigars that are mild in nature.  For its excellent flavor and overall quality, but higher price, the Winston Churchill No. 10 receives 3.5 stars.

Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label Fundadores

Jose Garcia, affectionately referred to by many as Don Pepin, is an icon in today’s cigar industry.  He is the man responsible for introducing some of the most popular cigars on the market, such as the 5 Vegas and the Tatuaje.  The Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label line was established in 2005 and its cigars are hand-rolled at the El Rey de Los Habanos factory deep in the heart of Miami in Little Havana.  The Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label Fundadores is a newer addition to the line and is produced in very limited quantities.  It is considered to be more of a full bodied cigar aimed more towards experienced smokers rather than those just beginning the hobby.

The Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label Fundadores measures 7.5 x 38 and has a panatela shape.  It has an all Cuban seed blend filler of Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo tobacco.  It uses Nicaraguan Corojo Oscuro leaf as a wrapper and has a Nicaraguan Criollo binder.

Physically, the Don Pepin Garcia Blue Label Fundadores is an appealing cigar.  Its panatela shape gives it a sleek look, and its Nicaraguan Corojo Oscuro wrapper gives it a bit of an oily and dark appearance.  In Spanish, “oscuro” means dark.  A few fine veins run throughout the body, and it is packed firmly.  The band near the head is quite attractive as well and kicks up the overall look of the cigar.  The band is mostly dark blue in its center and bears the name of Don Pepin Garcia in gold cursive lettering.  Around the edge of the band are some decorative accents in gold, red, and light blue.  You could say that the band resembles a coat of arms in a way.  A pre-light check of the cigar gives off a taste of berry and an earthy, semi-sweet smell.
