ratings and scores

There are plenty of flavors to be enjoyed while smoking this cigar. It begins with the peppery flavor found in the cold taste. Later, there is a sweet flavor that comes into play, as well as some hints of nuts. There are also some creamy flavors that are very pleasant. Overall, it seems as if the Domaine 10 is more medium-bodied than full-bodied, but it is not weak by any means.

The Domaine 10 is pretty much a great cigar, to put it in simple terms. It looks great and inviting, and its burn is superb. The variety of flavors also keep it interesting. A cup of coffee would be a good complement while smoking. It also seems like a cigar good for any time of the day. Full-bodied fans might find it to be a bit mild, but it's still worth a try. You can find the Domaine 10 in boxes of 25, with a single averaging out to around $6 or $7 each. Considering the high quality of the cigar, that price seems reasonable.

The AVO Domaine 10 earns a solid rating of 3.5 out of 4 stars.

Davidoff Double R

If you are familiar with the Davidoff brand, you know that its cigars are very high in quality. The Double R series supposedly follows that trend, but is it actually worth its high price tag? Why don't we light one up and find out the truth.

The Davidoff Double R measures 7 1/2x 50. The cigar is part of the Special series from Davidoff, and its filler blend is composed of tobacco from the Dominican Republic, as is the binder. A Connecticut wrapper ties everything together. In all, the tobaccos used to construct the Double R come from four different harvests. The Double R is a bit stronger than its counterparts from the Special Series, as it is said to be more full-bodied.

The appearance of the Double R is almost impeccable. Its Connecticut wrapper has a very creamy light brown shade that makes you want to light up the cigar immediately. The wrapper is very smooth, with just a few small veins. There is also a bit of oil that can be noticed when the cigar is underneath direct light. A simple band near the head displays the Davidoff name, and its gold and white color scheme match the stick perfectly. It feels firm to the touch, and its cold taste and scent prior to lighting are both spicy.
