The presentation of the Liga Miami is very impressive. Maybe it's because I am a sucker for nice bands. The large band near the head has a map of the world and displays the El Primer Mundo name. It has a black, white, and silver color scheme that really stands out. Beneath it is a brown and silver band that shows the Liga Miami name. Both are what really catch the eye at first in terms of the cigar's appearance. The cigar itself looks good too. It has a minor oily sheen and the wrapper has a rich, appetizing color. Some fine veins run throughout the body, and it feels firm to the touch. Both the cold taste and the pre-light aroma are sweet.

Once it is finally in action, the Liga Miami Toro burns without any negative issues. The draw is good, and the gray ash that is produced remains solid. There is no need for maintenance in terms of re-lighting or touch-ups, and that will never draw a complaint from me. The less maintenance needed, the better.

A good amount of complexity is presented in the flavor department. The sweet flavor detected in the cold taste is the first one to make an appearance once the cigar is lit. Later on, notes of nuts, cedar, and wood enter the mix. Finishing off the smoke are some smooth, creamy notes, as well as the sweetness once again.

The Liga Miami holds its own. Is it out of this world? No, but it is a quality cigar that provides an issue-free experience and some nice complexity in its flavor profile. Smokers who enjoy cigars packed with flavor that hover around the full-bodied end of the strength spectrum should find the Liga Miami to be a good time. The cigar retails for around $8 to $9 per single. While that may be too much for a frequent smoke, El Primer Mundo produced the Liga Miami with enough quality and characteristics that make it worthy of at least a try as a single. You can also find it in packs of five or boxes of 20.

The El Primer Mundo Liga Miami earns a rating of three out of four stars.
