Once lit, the Select Torpedo burns like a charm. It stays even on its own and there is no need for touch-ups or re-lighting. The draw is good and the ash is solid and white in color.
The flavors experienced while smoking the Torpedo are enjoyable. Spice seems to be dominant. There are some notes of cedar as well. A tiny bit of nuttiness is also present. There's not a whole lot of variety in the flavor department here but the cigar does not disappoint by any means.
It's hard to find an area to complain about the Select Torpedo. It's not overwhelmingly great, but it is a solid stick. Burn issues are non-existent and its flavors are satisfactory. Full-bodied smokers should find it to be strong enough, yet it's not too much for a beginner to try. Depending on where you shop, you should be able to find a single for around $7 each. If you are looking to buy in larger quantities, the Select Torpedo is also offered in packs of five or boxes of 21.
Well, there you have it. Both of the offerings from Camacho that were reviewed today were not exactly out of this world, but they do seem to be quality smokes. Your mileage will vary when it comes to just how much you enjoy them yourself. Keep checking back for more cigar reviews from Puff.com in the future.
