Nothing in particular stands out when it comes to the Corojo Robusto's appearance. Still, it's a good looking stick. The wrapper has a nice tint to it and plenty of fine veins. A nice sheen of oil is also visible under the light. Giving the cigar a feel reveals that it is very firmly packed. An attractive red and gold band near the head shows the 777 name along with Jesus Fuego stamped on it. The cigar has an earthy scent before lighting and a rather sweet cold taste.
Once in action, the 777 Corojo Robusto performs like a champion. The burn is nice and even, requiring no touch-ups or re-lighting. The draw is good too, and there's a nice white ash as well.

The flavors experienced while smoking the cigar were not all that varied, but they still kept things interesting. Some earth was prevalent at the start that combined with a citrus flavor, similar to that found in the cold taste. Later on, these were joined by a bit of spicy pepper. The final flavor worth mentioning was cedar, which came through from time to time. The flavors weren't too harsh and seemed to be more on the medium-bodied end of the spectrum.
Although the 777 Corojo Robusto doesn't seem to wow you in any way, it does provide an enjoyable smoking experience. It's well constructed and offers a nice burn that is void of any major problems. The flavors are decent enough and do a good job of mixing in sweet with spicy. Medium-bodied fans will probably enjoy it and it is smooth enough for beginners to give it a shot. The price is around $5 for a single, which seems about right. You can find them in boxes of 21.
The J. Fuego 777 Corojo Robusto earns a rating of three out of four stars.
