While the No. 2 looks great, its burn is not quite up to par. It burns uneven, and you will want to keep a lighter handy to re-light it occasionally. It's not all bad, though, as it does have a good draw. Some nice light-colored ash is another plus.
The flavors that appear while smoking the No. 2 are diverse and do a good job of stimulating the taste buds. Some wood and earthy tones start things off. Eventually cedar becomes apparent, along with a bit of leather. Spicy elements join the party in the form of a pepper taste. To smooth everything out, there are also chocolate and coffee flavors that make a nice addition to the overall flavor profile. I'd say that this cigar is indeed medium to full-bodied, as it is not too mild and not too strong. Instead, it maintains a nice balance between the two.
The Edicion Especial No. 2 is a mixed bag. It looks great, and the flavors change up to keep things interesting. The burn, on the other hand, is not the greatest, so you will have to maintain this stick as you smoke it. In the end, the decision of whether or not to buy the No. 2 boils down to price. At around $8 for a single, it is on the more expensive side, and it comes in boxes of 25. You may not want to include it in your common rotation, but as a one time smoke it could be worth a shot.
The La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial No. 2 earns an average rating of two out of four stars.
I think I am all smoked out now, so I will see you next time. I hope you enjoyed these two reviews and come back for more!
