When in action, the Casa Fuego Belicoso is a solid stick. The burn stays even on its own without the need for many touch-ups, if any at all. The draw is easy, and the ash that is produced is solid and light in color. No re-lighting is necessary.
The flavors given off while smoking are not bad. Perhaps the biggest gripe might be that there isn't a lot of variety to them, but they are good on their own. Plenty of pepper is the first flavor to hit. The cold taste did a good job of predicting this. Once the pepper subsides a little some coffee is noticeable. A rich chocolate flavor is added to the profile and is a pleasant surprise. Overall, it keeps from being too overwhelming, which should make it a more enjoyable experience for a wider audience.
In the end, the Casa Fuego Belicoso is a good stick overall. There is nothing in particular that is outstanding, yet there is not much to complain about either. The cigar is well-constructed and is absent of any major burn issues. The flavors are slightly limited, but still enjoyable. It's a stick that could be a tad strong for beginners, but it is not too strong that it would blow most people out of the water. The price seems reasonable, at around $5 to $6 per single. It also comes in boxes of 21. I'd say you would be well served in giving one a try on a single basis, rather than taking the leap for a box. See how you like it first, although it does seem like a good value stick.
The J. Fuego Casa Fuego Belicoso earns a respectable rating of 3 out of 4 stars.
