lagloriaartesanospic2 Hello once again to all you smokers out there! Today there are two reviews on tap featuring the La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Miami Elegante and the Don Kiki Green Label Torpedo. Let's dig in.....

La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Miami Elegante

La Gloria Cubana is a cigar brand that has been around a very long time. It was founded in 1885 and is still going strong despite switching hands amongst various owners over time. The Artesanos de Miami line from La Gloria Cubana is one that is the result of a lot of hard work. It is said that the final blend chosen for the line was chosen from over 50 blends created and tested over a six year period. The Artesanos de Miami is also very limited, with supposedly only 250,000 cigars being produced. The meticulous work that La Gloria Cubana did in the creation of the Artesanos line has paid off, as the cigar has received plenty of praise from critics.

The La Gloria Cubana Artesanos de Miami Elegante measures 6 6/8x49 in its Churchill size. It also comes in other sizes within the line: the 5 x 46 Artesanitos, the 5 1/2x52 Sabrosos, the 5 1/2x58 Campana Chica Torpedo, and the 6 x 54 Gran Corona Especiale. The Elegante has a filler that is a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos. It also has an Ecuadorian Sumatran binder and a Nicaraguan Habano wrapper. The cigar is finished off with a Cuban style cap and is considered to be full-bodied. Ten master rollers lend their hands in its production at the El Credito factory in Miami, Florida.

Taking a look at the Artesanos de Miami Elegante, the most noticeable physical aspect of the cigar is that it has a super oily sheen. The wrapper has a nice golden brown color and is smooth with very few veins running throughout its body. A nice, artistic band is near the head of the cigar that displays the La Gloria Cubana name. The artwork on the band depicts a woman from the olden days and is bordered in gold. Prior to lighting, the cigar has a sweet scent and cold taste. Also noticeable is that it feels very firm to the touch.
