midominicana Hello again and welcome to another installment of cigar reviews. Today we will look at the Mi Dominicana Robusto and the Marco V Bronze Label the Dom Grand Reserve to see if either deserves the empty spot in your humidor.

Mi Dominicana Robusto

The Mi Dominicana line is produced by Altadis U.S.A. The cigar marks the first Dominican puro introduced by the large brand and it was created by Jose Seijas. Seijas is the general manager of Tabacalera Garcia and hypes the Mi Dominicana to the fullest. With claims that this particular cigar is the perfect smoke, it undoubtedly has some expectations to fulfill. Does it succeed in fulfilling them? Keep reading along to find out.

The Mi Dominicana Robusto measures 5x54. Several other sizes are offered from the line as well: the 4 1/4x46 Short Figurado, the 5 1/2x44 Corona, the 5 3/4x52 Figurado, the 6x54 Toro, the 6 1/8x52 Belicoso, the 7x54 Churchill, and the 7 1/2x40 Lancero Rattail. The cigar is made from 100 percent Dominican tobacco, thus giving it its designation as a Dominican puro. The filler, binder, and wrapper all come from the Caribbean nation. The Mi Dominicana is considered to be medium to full-bodied.

The Mi Dominicana Robusto is an average looking cigar. The wrapper has a medium-brown color with an oily sheen that is visible under the light. There are also a few veins that are visible. An attractive band rests near the head of the cigar that displays the Mi Dominicana name as well as its creator, Jose Seijas. A pair of crossing Dominican flags decorate the center of the band and it has some added accents in the Dominican colors of red, blue, and white. Patting it down reveals that it is firm and well-packed. Before lighting, the cigar has both a scent and cold taste that is sweet.
