rocky patel the edge corojo toro

There are not a huge variety of flavors in the Edge, but the ones that are there are solid. It begins with a spicy pepper that suggests this is one cigar to be dealt with. The bold spice shifts to some earth. To change things up, some sweetness comes into the profile and provides a bit of relief. There is also some cedar that can be noticed. I'd say it definitely lives up to being full-bodied.

Yet another Rocky Patel cigar, and yet another quality smoke. His selections rarely disappoint, and this is just another example. The Edge Toro is not my favorite from Rocky, but it is definitely a quality stick. It's construction is good, the burn is excellent, and the flavors pass the test. You should really have a meal before you give this one a try, as it might be too much to handle on an empty stomach. Full-bodied fans will likely find it to be right up their alley. Beginners should shy away, as it is likely way too strong for unseasoned lungs. Singles average out to around $5 to $6 each, which is reasonable considering you are getting an aged, quality product from a premium brand. The Edge can also be found in boxes of 20, and there are even boxes of 100 floating around the internet if you feel like really splurging.

Rocky Patel's The Edge Corojo Toro earns a solid rating of 3 out of 4 stars.

Avo Signature Lonsdale

The Avo Signature Lonsdale measures 6 1/4x 43. The Signature line's other size offerings include: the 4 ½ x 43 Small Corona, the 5 x 52 Robusto, the 6 x 48 Belicoso, and the 7 x 50 Double Corona. The filler is a blend of four different tobaccos from the Cibao Valley in the Dominican Republic. The binder is made from Dominican Ligero tobacco that has been aged for four years. A Ecuadorian Sungrown wrapper tops it all off. The Signature line is considered to be full-bodied.

The Signature Lonsdale is one pretty stick. The Sungrown wrapper has a creamy, smooth appearance that is tempting. Only a few small veins are noticeable, and there is a slight sheen of oil that comes out under the light. The decorative band near the head displays the AVO logo in a white, red, and gold color scheme that adds a classy touch. Patting the cigar up and down reveals that it is well-packed and firm. Its cold taste is of tobacco, and so is the scent prior to being lit.
