There isn't a ton of complexity within the Cameroon Especial. That said, the cigar's flavor is enjoyable. Sweet notes are detected first. The sweetness is then joined by some nutty flavors that are delicious. Notes of tobacco come next, and the nutty and sweet flavors pop in from time to time until the cigar is finished.

The Cameroon Especial Robusto is not perfect, but it does have its strengths. The burn had some issues, although none were too severe. The flavors were on the simple side, yet the ones that were present were worth the price of admission. Speaking of the price of admission, that is this cigar's best feature. The Cameroon Especial comes in bundles of 20. You won't find boxes, as these cigars are bundled to help keep prices down. A bundle of 20 can be found for around $60 or less. That means you are looking at a quality stick for about $3 a pop. The Cameroon Especial's affordable price makes it a great choice as an everyday cigar. Fans of milder cigars or cigars with Cameroon wrappers should give it a try. It's also mild enough for beginning smokers. If you want a cigar with a lot of strength, the Cameroon Especial is not for you. If you want something smooth and affordable, however, it is.

The Rocky Patel Cameroon Especial Robusto earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars for its combination of enjoyability and a very wallet-friendly price.

CAO Colombia Robusto

As a country, Colombia may not be as big of a contributor to the cigar industry as Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, or Nicaragua, but it has had some involvement. With the CAO Colombia line, the South American nation gets some extra industry exposure with a cigar bearing its name. The exposure is a bit limited, however, as the line was made exclusively for Serious Cigars, an online store. Regardless, some exposure is better than none at all.

The CAO Colombia Robusto measures 5 x 50. It also comes in three other sizes: the 6 1/8 x 52 Belicoso, the 6 ½ x 50 Corona Gorda, and the 7 x 48 Churchill. The cigar is a Colombian puro, made with 100 percent Colombian tobaccos in its filler, binder, and wrapper. Strength-wise, the CAO Colombia is said to be medium-bodied.
