In terms of appearance, the CAO Colombia is very eye-catching. The cigar itself is oily, and the wrapper has a slight tint of red that's visible. Some large veins are present, and the cigar feels firm to the touch. No soft spots are detected. The cigar's decoration is superb. The bands are appropriately colored yellow, blue, and red, the colors of the Colombian flag. The CAO logo rests at the center of the band, along with the Colombia label and Serious Cigars printed in gold font. Before lighting, the cigar's cold taste is leathery, and it has an aroma of coffee.

The Colombia's burn is a tad uneven and requires a few touch-ups along the way. The gray ash is on the flaky side, and the draw is just right.

The CAO Colombia is pretty smooth overall, and coffee is the first flavor that is noticed. The inclusion of coffee in the flavor profile was expected. After all, what would a Colombian cigar be without some notes of coffee in it? Leather is the next flavor that comes into play, and it later gives way to some nutty flavors. You don't get too much complexity, but the cigar is also far from being bland.

The CAO Colombia Robusto is not a bad cigar by any means. It's one cigar that is fun to look over for a while before smoking. It just looks that good. The burn was decent, and the flavors were pleasant. As stated before, this cigar was made exclusively for Serious Cigars, so head over to their website, if interested. A single costs $7.95. That's not cheap, but it's not ridiculously expensive, either. If you are looking for a bulk purchase, you can get the Colombia Robusto in a Rueda of 50, which is basically a hexagonal box. Who would like this cigar? Any fans of medium-bodied cigars, or fans of the CAO brand. You may also want to try it if you are looking to sample a cigar from a country that is not on the list of the usual suspects (Cuba, D.R., Honduras, etc.).

The CAO Colombia Robusto earns a rating of three out of four stars.
