Rocky Patel Connecticut
Wrapper - Connecticut shade leaf
Filler - Dominican and Nicaraguan
Ring Size – 50
Length – 5.50”
Construction: Light brown. A little bit
of tooth with veins. Very firm. On the dry side.
Prelight: Peppery scent.
Burn: Lit evenly. Burned evenly. A very
solid gray ash. Almost no resting smoke at all. It burned a little fast. No
relight required.
Draw: Lots of smoke with each draw. I
wish there had been more flavor.
Smoking notes: This is a very mild cigar.
Very smooth. It gave my tongue a peppery tingle. Not much change in body or
flavor. Short finish. Light and airy.
Overall Impression: This was only an
average cigar for me at best. I guess I expected more from a Rocky Patel and was
disappointed. Each draw gave me a mouthful of smoke but there was not a lot of
flavor. It gave my tongue a peppery tingle but it didn’t have a peppery taste.
The closest thing to describe the flavor was burnt coffee. Not bad but not great
either. This might be a good cigar for someone who enjoys a mild cigar or
someone who likes a coffee taste.
