Moving on to the flavor of the Rocky Patel Edge Habano, I must say I am impressed. There is plenty of complexity to be enjoyed here. It all starts with some spicy pepper in the first third. Cedar soon joins in, as does some sweetness. The second third picks up in its peppery strength and reaches the full-bodied level. Chocolate, leather, and coffee come into play to make for a great halfway point. The final third puts out more leather and chocolate, as well as some creaminess for a solid ending.
I can’t say I was surprised from the fact that I enjoyed the Rocky Patel Edge Habano. After all, Rocky Patel always seems to put out great sticks. This is a great pick if you want full flavor in a full-bodied package. I would recommend it as an after dinner treat for experienced smokers. A single sells for around $6 to $7, which is not bad considering the quality you are getting in return. The cigar also comes in boxes of 20 or boxes of 100 if you really want to go wild. I’d opt for the box of 20 myself.
The Rocky Patel Edge Habano Toro earns a rating of 3.75 out of four stars.
CLE Connecticut Robusto

The CLE brand gets its name from Christian Luis Eiroa, the former president of Camacho. Eiroa was busy during the 2012 IPCPR show with unveiling new cigars for his young brand, such as the CLE Corojo and the CLE Cuarenta. Both are Honduran puros, while the CLE Connecticut is not. I really have no experience with smoking CLE cigars, so this Connecticut Robusto I am about to try will be my first time with the brand. Hopefully this first impression will be a good one.
The CLE Connecticut Robusto measures 5 x 50. Other sizes in the line include the 5 3/4 x 46 Corona, 6 x 48/54/48 Diadema, and the 6 x 60 60x6. The cigar’s interior consists of a Honduran filler and binder, while the wrapper is Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade. In terms of strength, the CLE Connecticut is generally considered to be medium-bodied.
