Regarding the Rocky Patel Edicion Unica’s flavor, I have no complaints. The first third kicks things off with a combination of earth, mild spice, and cedar. The spice gets just a tad stronger in the second third and mixes with sweetness and nuts. The final third caps off the smoking experience with sweetness, nuts, chocolate, and some cedar. I’d call the Edicion Unica 2011 a medium-bodied cigar in terms of strength.
As usual, this was another solid stick from Rocky Patel. I enjoyed all aspect of the Edicion Unica 2011, and it’s bouquet of flavors was quite pleasant. I could see it as a nice smoke to relax with in the afternoon or as a nice complement to a cup of coffee in the morning. A single hovers around $6, and you can also find it in packs of five or boxes of 20. Personally, I’d spring for a five pack.
The Rocky Patel Edicion Unica 2011 earns a very respectable rating of 3.5 out of four stars for its solid flavor profile and construction.
Angelenos Robusto

Wrapping up today’s reviews it the Angelenos Robusto. The Angelenos brand comes from the folks behind Prometheus and God of Fire cigars, and was created by company founder Keith K. Park in honor of the city of Los Angeles. The Robusto received some very solid ratings from well-respected publications, so I snatched one up and figured I would give it a try for myself.
The Angelenos Robusto measures 5 1/2 x 50. There are several other formats in the line, including the Robusto Gordo JM, Double Robusto, Toro, Gran Toro, and Lonsdale. The cigar’s filler and binder are made up of Dominican tobaccos. The wrapper, on the other hand, is Ecuadorian.
