The C & C Connecticut Robusto is definitely an attractive cigar. Its wrapper is golden brown in color and features some nice oil on the surface. The wrapper does have some tooth to it and feels rather bumpy to the touch. Feeling the cigar I can also tell that it is well-packed with tobacco. There are no soft spots. The triple cap is nicely done. The band near the head is eye-catching with its gold and maroon color scheme. It displays the C & C Connecticut name surrounded by some nice graphics. Before lighting, there’s a barnyard aroma to the Robusto and a cold taste of cedar.
The draw of the C & C Connecticut Robusto is superb. The cigar burns evenly from start to finish as well, requiring no touch-ups. No re-lights are necessary either. The ash is firm and light gray in color. Overall, I have zero complaints in the burn department.
Moving on to my favorite part of the discussion, the flavor, the C & C Connecticut starts off with mild tobacco and cedar in the first third. The second third transitions to notes of cream and nuts, as well as some wood. The final third is sweet and even features a hint of mild spice to finish off the Robusto.
The C & C Connecticut Robusto was definitely a mild cigar, but it did supply some complexity at the same time. I wouldn’t mind enjoying the Robusto with a cup of coffee in the morning every now and then. At around $2 to $3 per single, I consider the C & C Connecticut to be a great value. You can find it in packs of five or boxes of 18.
The C & C Connecticut Robusto earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
