Unfortunately, the flavor of the San Lotano Maduro is not as good as the burn, but it still passes the test. It starts off with a burst of mild spice that is tamed by creaminess. The second third is a nice concoction of sweetness, chocolate, and coffee. The cigar wraps things up in the final third with more spicy pepper and creaminess. It should be noted that the pepper hardly gets strong at all, and that this is a medium-bodied smoke all the way.
The San Lotano Maduro Robusto is definitely a solid smoke, but it is not a memorable one. I can’t complain about the burn or presentation, but the flavor was just lacking that certain something to really make you want to buy a box. I would recommend it to those who enjoy Maduro cigars or ones with medium-bodied strength. At $6 per single, it can’t hurt to give the Maduro Robusto a try.
The San Lotano Maduro Robusto earns a rating of 3.25 out of four stars.
Tatuaje M80

The Tatuaje M80 is a cigar that was produced exclusively for the Two Guys Smoke Shop in Salem, New Hampshire, and released during the summer of 2011. It’s a follow-up to another similar cigar made for the shop that went by the name of the Firecracker, which was a 3 x 50 stogie developed by Don Pepin Garcia that came equipped with a small fuse. The M80 is slightly bigger than the Firecracker, and probably packs a nice punch as well. Let’s find out if this cigar is all style, or if it has some substance behind its unique and catchy appearance.
The Tatuaje M80 measures 4 x 50. It’s the only size in the limited line, which is unfortunate for those who prefer larger cigars. Its filler and binder are both Nicaraguan, while the wrapper is Ecuadorian Habano Maduro. The M80 is listed as being full-bodied in strength and not for the faint of heart. The full-bodied nature of the cigar makes sense. After all, a stick with M80 as its moniker wouldn’t feel right if it was mild or medium-bodied.
