Right off the bat, I notice the inviting dark chocolate color of the cigar’s wrapper. The classy and subtle bands at the head and foot add some flair to the cigar’s appearance. The top band is mostly red and gold and features the Burn label and Rocky Patel logo. The band at the foot is black, silver, and red and showcases the Special Reserve moniker. Getting back to the cigar itself, the wrapper has a good amount of oil and only minimal veining. The appearance is very smooth overall and the construction seems perfect, which is no surprise considering Patel’s solid track record of producing quality smokes. The cigar feels firm to the touch and has no soft spots. I notice a pre-light barnyard scent and a chocolate cold taste.
The Burn Special Reserve Robusto lights with no trouble at all and offers a superb burn. No touch-ups or re-lights are needed at all. The draw is just right. A nice volume of smoke is produced throughout the slow burn. The ash is quite solid and gray in color.
The Rocky Patel Burn Special Reserve continues to impress as we move into the flavor department. There are plenty of flavors to be enjoyed that keep my palate entertained throughout the entire smoking experience. Mild pepper kicks off the festivities and is soon joined by a sweet flavor that reminds me of raisins. The second third is where things really get interesting with some stronger pepper, leather, chocolate, and espresso. The final third brings back some milder pepper and finishes things off with more tasty chocolate.
The Burn Special Reserve Robusto is a perfect example of why Rocky Patel has a solid reputation. The cigar looks great and tastes even better. There was never a dull moment during the entire smoking experience thanks to the various flavors which made me wish that the cigar would continue to smoke into perpetuity. The Burn Special Reserve Robusto comes in boxes of 20 and sells for around $7 to $8 per single. I suggest picking up a box of 20 to keep around for you and your friends, especially if you are a Rocky Patel fan.
The Rocky Patel Burn Special Reserve Robusto earns a rating of 3.75 out of four stars.

I found this cigar very lacking in complexity , I had a irreguglar burn, and it ended harsh.
There are many better cigars on the market than San Lotano.
Don't waste your money.
