sosa piramide no. 2
Nothing blew up for us here, good or bad. Just a relatively solid cigar at an acceptable price. Torpedoes are just plain cool, "da bomb" you could say...get it..."bomb", ...torpedoes blow up..."bomb". Never mind I new it was bad when I was writing it. Sosa claims this is a Pyramid shaped cigar, but looks closer to a Torpedo to me. I also couldn't resist the torpedo joke. Nothing blew up for us here, good or bad. Just a relatively solid cigar at an acceptable price. I remember a period of time when this cigar was getting some unbelievable reviews in all the "pay for your" review magazines. Folks were raving about the quality and affordability of the Sosa Piramide No. 2. Once you cut the end of a torpedo shaped cigar, is it really still a torpedo? Who cares, we're talking about a pyramid. Good looking smoke, solid construction, with a very steady wrapper. Although the color of the wrapper was average, it was consistent and deserved mention for the leaf selection. So you go through the pre-smoke, checking out your stogie, building anticipation for a cigar that looks good, was heralded at times, and is also realistically priced. Can it live up to the expectation? Sort of. This was solid throughout. Not outstanding taste, not unique taste, but taste none the less. After two of these cigars, many reviewers still had a puzzled look on there faces as to how to review it. No one was doing cartwheels, and no one was spitting venom. How do they expect me to write a unique review with bland info? The ash was the one item people spoke in detail about (ash, go figure) it was very white, and hung around for awhile. Give this cigar a try. It got a "better than average C+" from us, maybe deserved more, maybe deserved less. It was an enigma wrapped up in a riddle, surrounded by conundrums. Either that or were losing it. Vital Statistics: Shape = Pyramid Length = 6 1/2" RG = 54 Wrapper = Ecuador/USA Connecticut Filler = Dominican Republic Binder =Dominican Republic Estimated Cost = $ 6.00
