El Primer Mundo Habano Criollo Maduro Torpedo

The El Primer Mundo Habano Criollo Maduro Torpedo is a mild to medium bodied box-pressed cigar that measures 6.5 x 54 and also comes in robusto and toro vitolas.  Its filler is a blend of tobacco from the Jamastran Valley in Honduras and the Jalapa Valley in Nicaragua.  It has a rare aged Havana Seed Maduro wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder. 

The El Primer Mundo Habano Criollo Maduro Torpedo is a bit unique in appearance due to its rare shape from being a box-pressed torpedo, but that does not make it unattractive.  Its aged wrapper gives it a darker, oilier look.  The gold, brown and white band at the head kicks the appearance up a notch and has the company and cigar name and logo as well.  Giving the cigar a quick feel, you notice that it’s a bit soft, and has a chocolate taste and sweet smell.

The El Primer Mundo Habano Criollo Maduro Torpedo burns evenly for the most part and has a nice draw.  You may need to keep a lighter handy though.  The most dominant flavors experienced are rich chocolate and coffee.  There are occasional hints of nuts and woody flavor, as well as some pepper.  Needless to say, this is a cigar that goes very well with a cup of coffee.

The El Primer Mundo Habano Criollo Maduro Torpedo is a smoke worthy of a try with a good burn and flavor variety.  You can get a single for around $6.50, which is not bad considering it’s a high quality stogie.  For its pleasant flavor and burn, the El Primer Mundo Habano Criollo Maduro Torpedo earns a rating of four stars.
