Today we’ll be taking a look at two newly released cigars in the form of the Tailored by Alec Bradley Habano and the 1907 by Dunhill.  Is either cigar good enough to hog a spot in your humidor?  Keep reading to find out.

Tailored by Alec Bradley Habano Robusto

The reasoning behind this cigar’s name is quite simple: it was tailored to suit every smoker’s taste.  From what I can tell, this is an “online cigar” that was made available to one retailer.  Beyond that, I’ve read that both beginners and seasoned smokers should enjoy it, hence the whole “tailored to all” theme.  While mild to medium-bodied in strength, the Tailored Habano is said to be full of flavor.  That all sounds good to me, so let’s go ahead and wrap up the intro and jump into the review itself, shall we?

There’s no getting around the decorative band of the Tailored Habano Robusto, as it is HUGE.  It’s mostly black and red color scheme catches the eye, and it’s designed to almost look like a suit, which keeps true to the Tailored moniker.  The cigar itself is dark brown and has a bit of oil on the wrapper.  Some medium-sized veins are present, but I see no major imperfections.  I can tell that this cigar was made with care, but that’s not surprising considering who made it.  Before lighting I pick up an aroma that’s chocolaty and a tad spicy, while the cold taste is earthy and sweet.

Moving on to the burn department, the Tailored by Alec Bradley burns like a champ.  The draw is just right and produces plenty of thick smoke.  There’s no need for touch-ups or re-lights.  The ash is dark gray and solid in nature.  Smoking time is around 70 minutes.
