The La Aurora 107 Maduro's appearance is easy on the eyes. Its wrapper has a dark brown color and an abundance of oil on its surface that looks great under light. The cigar is rather rustic and toothy with some medium-sized veins. Touching the 107 Maduro tells that it is well-packed, and it does not appear to have any bumps. The large band near the head features the La Aurora brand name as well as 107 in red print. There’s also the company logo of a lion in the middle, as well as a smaller red band with the Maduro moniker below it. Prior to being set into action, there is a scent of coffee and a cold taste that is earthy.

The burn is completely free of any negative issues. The draw is excellent and there is long, dark-colored ash. The burn manages to stay even until the end and there are no touch-ups or re-lighting that is needed.

La Aurora managed to pack plenty of flavor and complexity into the 107 Maduro. Notes of coffee, pepper, and cedar are evident from the start. The pepper and cedar continue into the second third, and I also pick up sweetness here. The final third is a nice blend of chocolate, coffee, wood, and sweetness.

From start to finish, the La Aurora 107 Maduro is a winner. Its appearance passes the eye test, and the burn was good too. Throw in plenty of flavor and you have yourself a winning recipe. At $6.95 per single, I simply cannot complain about the 107 Maduro’s price point.  In fact, I’d call it a bit of a bargain at that price.  I’d go ahead and pick up a box of 21, as this truly is a solid cigar from a well-respected company that’s been around for over 100 years.  I wouldn’t call the 107 Maduro too strong for beginners, and I would call it just perfect for experienced smokes.

The La Aurora 107 Maduro earns a rating of 3.75 out of four stars.

That wraps up this pair of cigar reviews on  We hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and stay safe!

This cigar has become my favorite maduro at its price point. Just a nice, flavor filled, solid smoke from a company that knows how.
