The flavor of the Tatuaje Apocalypse starts off with a good little blast of pepper that is later accompanied by earth in the first third. The pepper intensifies in the second third to bring the cigar to full-bodied strength. I also notice chocolate and wood at this point, along with some sweetness. The final third offers up mild spice, chocolate, and earth.
Tatuaje cigars have never really failed me in the past, so I am not overly surprised that I found the Apocalypse to be an enjoyable stick. It had just the right mix of power and flavor to keep things interesting. If you are a Tatuaje fan or enjoy flavorful cigars that pack some punch, give the Apocalypse a try. A single retails for $8.95 and they come in boxes of 15. Don’t delay, however, as only 1,300 boxes have been produced, as mentioned.
The Tatuaje Apocalypse earns a rating of 3.75 out of four stars.
Nestor Miranda Danno 2012

The Danno line from Nestor Miranda reappeared in 2012 after being absent in 2011. The special line began back in 2009 as a tribute to Miami Cigar Co.’s 20th anniversary, and the 2012 release marks the fifth creation of its kind from the brand. The Danno 2012 made its debut during the last IPCPR show, and it promises more strength than its predecessors thanks to the inclusion of some Ligero tobacco.
The Nestor Miranda Danno 2012 comes in a 7 x 56 format. It’s produced at the My Father Cigars Factory in Nicaragua and comes with a filler blend that consists of Dominican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The binder is Nicaraguan, and a Mexican San Andres wrapper completes the composition.
