The Dominicano Rosado is an attractive cigar that has a Latin flair to it thanks to the decorative band near the head. It displays the Nestor Miranda signature in red with the Dominicano name in black and gold. The band blends in perfectly with the Rosado wrapper and its inviting color. The wrapper has an oily sheen and a few veins here and there. The cigar has some weight to it despite its small stature and appears to be packed tightly with tobacco. Pre-light aroma is of barnyard, while the cold taste is all tobacco.
Once in action, the Dominicano Rosado Coffee Break performs like a champ. The burn stays even on its own, despite one part when it acts as if it wants to stray. The draw is just right and there’s plenty of smoke. The light gray ash is solid.
For such a little cigar, Nestor Miranda packed a good amount of flavor into the Coffee Break. The first third features earth and mild spice. The spice intensifies in the second third and mixes with sweet and creamy notes for solid variation. The final third is a mixture of coffee, nuts, and leather.
I was impressed by the Dominicano Rosado Coffee Break. It’s a nice stogie to have around when you don’t have a lot of time. The complexity was surprising and enjoyable. You can find the Coffee Break in packs of five or boxes of 20, with a single hovering around the $6 mark. Fans of medium to full-bodied cigars should definitely keep the Dominicano Rosado in mind.
The Nestor Miranda Dominicano Rosado Coffee Break earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.
