Warped Cigars Abydos

The Abydos cigar continues the Egyptian theme from the Warped brand with its moniker. Abydos is one of the most important cities of Ancient Egypt, and its many tombs were highly desirable resting spots for several pharaohs back in the day. So, now that we have Anubis, Abydos, and Osiris pegged as cigars from Warped, maybe we can expect an ultimate King Tut cigar in the future.
The Warped Abydos is measures 6x46 in its corona grande vitola and I am unsure if other sizes are out there. Its filler is a blend of tobaccos from Peru, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. It has an Ecuadorian binder and an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The Abydos is handmade in Little Havana and could be considered medium-bodied.
The Abydos looks to be solidly constructed. Its firm to the touch, and its wrapper is a rich brown color with a nice oily sheen to it. There’s not much in the way of decorations here, but its for smoking and not staring, so I can’t complain. Pre-light check of the Abydos gives off a bit of a spicy scent and a nice cedar flavor.
Once lit, the Abydos burns evenly with a nice light ash and good draw. No re-lighting is needed. The flavors are diverse and complex. There are some hints of earth and wood towards the beginning. Eventually some coffee comes into the mix, along with a bit of spice that ends on the creamy side.
Overall the Warped Abydos is a great stogie. The flavors come through nicely and the cigar smokes very well. At around $5 a stick, you really cannot beat this cigar. If you are a fan of medium-bodied cigars, definitely give this one a shot. Its great price, burn, and flavor earns the Warped Abydos 3.5 out of four stars.
