The Alec Bradley Trilogy Authentic Corojo Churchill

The Alec Bradley Trilogy Authentic Corojo Churchill is a medium-bodied cigar that is handmade in Honduras. Its Churchill vitola measures 6.75x52 and it also comes in a 5x52 Robusto or a 6.25x52 Torpedo. Its construction stretches the globe in terms of its components. Its filler is a blend of Mexican and Dominican tobaccos and the binder is Honduran and Nicaraguan. It is topped off with an Authentic Corojo wrapper from the Dominican Republic. You can also find the Trilogy with a Brazilian or Cameroonian wrapper as well.

The cigar looks good although nothing really catches your eye appearance-wise. The Authentic Corojo wrapper gives it a dark brown color that is slightly oily. There are a few noticeable veins and giving the cigar a quick feel reveals that it has a little give to it. There’s an attractive band near the head that has Trilogy and Authentic Corojo printed on it. The white, green, black, and silver colors used in the band help spruce up the cigar’s look. A quick smell and taste before lighting gives off a hint of chocolate.

While the draw was excellent, the same could not be said for other aspects of the cigar during smoking. The burn was uneven, and the ash had a nice color but was very fragile. On the other hand, the flavors were a nice surprise. There’s a good bit of fruit flavor at the beginning that mixes in with some nuts. Further in you get some chocolate and leather that gives way to some spice.

This stick is sort of a mixed bag. The burn was less than desirable, but the flavors were very good and kept things interesting. Better yet is the price tag. You can pick up a single for around $4. It also comes in packs of five or boxes of 24. I would give it a try if you enjoy medium-bodied cigars, because despite the burn problems, the flavors made it enjoyable. The worst-case scenario is that you lose four bucks on trying a new smoke. The Trilogy Authentic Corojo Churchill from Alec Bradley receives 2.5 out of 4 stars.

That just about does it for now as I am smoked out! Although these three selections weren’t the greatest, you may want to give them a try, and until next time, keep your lighters up!
