As I look at the Connecticut Perfecto, I admire its neat shape.  The Connecticut wrapper is light brown in color and has a few medium sized veins here and there.  It feels very firm to the touch and has zero soft spots.  There’s no decorative band, but this appears to be the case with most of the company’s cigars.  I pick up a flavor of wood from the cold taste, while the aroma is a blend of sweetness and cedar.

Lighting the Island Cigar Factory Connecticut is done with ease.   The draw is good once it loosens up.  There’s a decent amount of smoke as well.  The light gray ash is solid.  The burn stays even from beginning to end, requiring no touch-ups.  No re-lights are necessary either.  I love maintenance-free smokes, and this is certainly one of them.

As for the Connecticut Perfecto’s flavor, the cigar kicks off with notes of cedar and sweetness.  Some mild spice is also noticed in the first third.  The spice and sweetness continue into the second third, and they are joined by wood and chocolate.  The final third offers more wood and chocolate, plus cedar.

The Island Cigar Factory Connecticut Perfecto gave me a nice way to start off my day.  The cigar was mild, but not boring.  It had a nice mix of flavors to go along with its solid burn.  You can purchase bundles of 25 for $125.  Due to the amount of care that goes into rolling this boutique cigar, I’d call that a good value.  You can order the Connecticut Perfecto from Island Cigar Factory’s site, or pick it up from one of their multiple locations in Key West.  Thanks again to the folks at Island Cigar for hooking me up with their sampler box.

The Island Cigar Factory Connecticut Perfecto earns a rating of 3.5 out of four stars.

I like this post because once I had a taste of this cigar. I think I need it now.
