Luckily for me, the Viaje Honey & Hand Grenades is not all style and presentation, as the cigar has terrific flavor as well. The first third is a mix of pepper, cedar, and wood. The strength is at medium-bodied here and picks up to full-bodied in the second third as the pepper becomes more pronounced. The second third also features sweetness, cocoa, and leather. The final third finishes things off with more sweetness and cocoa, plus wood.
I really enjoyed the Viaje Honey & Hand Grenades Rapier in all aspects. The name of the cigar intrigued me, and so did the whole background behind its presentation. The burn was excellent, and the flavors kept me entertained throughout. This is an excellent cigar for experienced smokers seeking something very flavorful in the medium to full-bodied range. A single will cost you about $10, while you can also find the Rapier in packs of five or boxes of 25. I’d pick up a box if you have the extra cash, as this is a quality cigar.
The Viaje Honey & Hand Grenades Rapier earns a rating of four out of four stars.
Padilla Reserva Maduro Toro

Many Padilla cigars have received strong ratings in the past, and my personal experience has been that those ratings are well-deserved. The Reserva Maduro line is the result of a collaborative effort between Padilla and the Oliva cigar family. Produced at the Oliva’s factory in Esteli, Nicaragua, this is a cigar that is said to be flavorful and in the medium to full-bodied range. For this review, I’ll be smoking one of the line’s Toro offerings.
The Padilla Reserva Maduro Toro measures 5 3/4 x 50. Other sizes in the line include the 4 x 60 Short Robusto, 5 3/4 x 60 Double Toro, and the 6 x 54 Torpedo. The cigar’s filler comes from the Esteli and Jalapa regions of Nicaragua. The binder is also Nicaraguan, and a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper completes the composition.
