To be fair, the Club is not a full-sized cigar. Instead, it is a short and thin stick that measures approximately 4 x 8. The small size makes the Club ideal for when you don't have a lot of time to smoke, but you still want to enjoy quality cigar ingredients.

Club cigarillos are not new on the market, as they were previously released in cartons of 20. What is new is their new quantity and packaging, as Montecristo has decided to release them in tins of 50. The tins are a limited edition release and feature some interesting decorations on the outside. They are available internationally, and priced at around $50 per tin, if you convert the current price that is being offered in Italy, for example.

These nifty tins of cigarillos may be a bit hard to track down, but if you can, they should satisfy your fix for a quick smoke.

Habana Cuba Cigar Company's “Swag”

Swag, short for swagger, is a term you hear being thrown around a lot these days. This urban term can be used to refer to athletes and the “swagger” or cockiness they possess, as well as in other forms. I am not sure if this is how the new Swag line from Habana Cuba Cigar Company got its name, but it isn't out of the question. Perhaps DJ Infamous, the stepson of the company's president Rafael Nodal, had something to do with the choosing of the name.

For a little background on the producers of the stick, Habana Cuba Cigar is the company behind the Oliveros brand. Their intention behind the creation of the Swag line was to release a Dominican puro (made completely of Dominican tobacco) that rivaled the traditional strength and complexity exhibited by Nicaraguan cigars. The Swag's production takes place in Tamboril, Dominican Republic at the Tabacalera Palma.

The Swag will be introduced to the public this August during the IPCPR show in New Orleans. To help promote the cigar, a Swag Club will be formed that will offer merchandise and prizes to members, such as a trip to the Dominican Republic. Once it is released onto shelves, it will be available in six different sizes: the 5 x 54 Lavish, the 5 1/2x 42 Quickie, the 6 x 54 Infamous (named after the aforementioned DJ Infamous), the 6 x 60 Ego, the 6 1/2x 52 Fierce, and the 7 x 38 Elite. Judging by those names, I'd say that my assumption on the origin of the Swag name is correct, as the majority of them sound bold.

The Swag will be packaged in boxes of 20, with singles hovering around the $6 to $7 mark. Try one out when they hit shelves this fall, and “get your swag on.”
