J-R Cigars' Lopez Tonight

If you are wondering why a cigar has what appears to be a late night talk show's name stamped on it, you are probably not the only one. George Lopez, the comedian and host of his own talk show on TBS now has his own cigar to add to his fame with the Lopez Tonight line from J-R Cigars.
Lopez himself is a huge cigar fan, so it is not completely surprising to see that he has jumped into the cigar game. He is not the first celebrity to do so, as we saw previously here on Puff.com that former NBA basketball player John Starks had done the same. Lopez is actually the one who initiated the process by showing interest in having his own cigar, and J-R Cigars finally made it happen. In case you were worried about the name and any infringement issues, yes, Warner Brothers licensed it.
The Lopez Tonight is handmade in Nicaragua and has a filler blend of tobaccos from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua. It has a Connecticut Broadleaf binder, and is completed with an Ecuadorian Sumatra Seed wrapper. The cigar falls into the medium-bodied category and should sit well with those who enjoy cigars that are not too overwhelming. Five sizes are available: the 5 1/2x 44 Corona, the 5 1/2x 50 Robusto Extra, the 6 1/2x 48 Double Corona, the 6 1/2x 54 Belicoso, and the 6 1/2x 54 Robusto Suprema. All five sizes come in packs of four that range from $13 to $18. Lopez requested that the cigars be priced affordably, so you have little to lose by picking one up. Guests on the show, however, get a pack for free.
That wraps up this edition of new releases, but check back frequently as many more will be posted in the future.
