The Griffin's Special XXVI Edition 2010

A new cigar is available from the Griffin's brand with the release of its Special XXVI Edition 2010. This new release follows the Griffin's tradition of limited edition cigars which began in 2004 with the brand's introduction of the Special XX Edition that was released to commemorate 20 years of business.
The new XXVI is a Corona Larga that measures 6 x 46, which gives it the distinction of being not only the longest, but also the thinnest of all the limited editions released to date. Its filler is a blend of Piloto, San Vicente, and Olor tobaccos. A special Ecuadorian sun-ripened wrapper completes this medium-bodied smoke, which is handmade at the Tabadom Factory in the Dominican Republic.
Each XXVI comes in its own glass tube with a cork seal. Elegant boxes of ten are being sold, with each cigar retailing for $11.50. If you are looking to get your hands on one of these, don't contemplate the decision too long, as only 5,500 boxes were produced for worldwide consumption.
La Aurora 107 Lancero

La Aurora previously released its 107 line to commemorate 107 years of business in the cigar trade, dating all the way back to 1903. The company holds the claim of having the oldest cigar factory in the Dominican Republic, and has several decades of tradition. In a not-so traditional manner, La Aurora has just expanded its popular 107 line with a new size. Technology led the way, and the brand has the social networking site known as Twitter to thank. After some executives received feedback from their Twitter followers, they decided to go ahead and produce the La Aurora 107 Lancero.
The 107 Lancero measures 6 7/8x 40, and it becomes the fourth size in the line. The other previously released sizes include the 4 1/2x 50 Robusto, the 5 1/2x 54 Toro, and the 6 1/4x 52 Belicoso. Like its predecessors, the Lancero features a filler of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The binder is also Dominican, and an Ecuadorian Sun Grown wrapper plus a pigtail cap tops it off. The 107 Lancero retails for $7 per single, and any cigar shops that wish to add it to their portfolio must do so using Twitter.
