The new Bundelo brand will launch with two new draw tested premium cigars, both using long filler tobaccos Bucanero Cigars is a boutique manufacturer of 11 premium and 5 bundled handmade cigars, with factories in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. This August Bucanero launched their bundled handmade cigar line. The new Bundelo brand will launch with two new draw tested premium cigars, both using long filler tobaccos. The Bundelo Cameroon and the Bundelo Havana Rose, using a rare Rosado wrapper leaf, started shipping to tobacconists in August 2006. “Creating a bundled line of cigars was new for Bucanero. To remove a cigar from an individual box and pack them in small display cases that the tobacconist can refill is cost effective for the consumer. Our goal was not to compromise the cigars flavor by using poor quality tobacco, something that a lot of bundled cigars are known for” says Robert Spoden President of Bucanero Cigars. “Being a small manufacture we can’t make a poor tasting cigar, it’s a waste of our time. Every cigar we release is important to us, and must hold the Bucanero name proudly. We removed the individual box and placed it in a Spanish cedar display box that holds all three sizes” says Mr. Spoden. “Our Havana Rose uses a beautiful rare red Rosado wrapper leaf. This cigar delivers a smooth and spicy flavor, definitely a medium flavored cigar” says Mr. Spoden. Cameroon wrapper tobacco is known to some as the king of wrapper leafs. Its mild to medium nature creates a depth of soft spice and richness, a flavor unlike any other leaf. It is also known as one of the most expensive leafs in the world. “Another benefit of being a small manufacture is we have access to very special tobaccos that are only available in small quantities, something a larger manufacture would not purchase based on their need for vast quantizes. Our blending team created unique blend using a Cameroon wrapper, bringing forth a mild and flavorful cigar and still keeping with our goal of reducing the cost at the register. The Bundelo brings A Bucanero Blended cigar in a bundled package for a great everyday smoke” says Mr. Spoden. Cameroon Sizes (single boxed pressed): 5 x 50 Robusto, 5 1/2 x 44 Corona, 6 X 54 Belicoso. Suggested retail around $2.90 per cigar (not including state tax). Havana Rose Sizes: 6 x 60 Canon, 7 x 54 Gigante, 8 x 50 Presidente. Suggested retail around $2.90 per cigar (not including state tax). ---------------------------------- Bucanero Cigars, established in 1995 is a boutique manufacturer of 11 premium and 5 bundled handmade cigars. Headquartered in Tampa Florida with factories in Nicaragua and Costa Rica, Bucanero uses the finest vintage tobaccos from 10 different nations to achieve its signature blending. Bucanero cigars are draw tested, made in limited production and allowed to naturally ferment allowing all bitterness to naturally release from the tobacco, keeping with their tradition of “Purge Free Cigars”. Bucanero produces hard to find blends like the “Treasure of Costa Rica” a true Costa Rican Puro reminiscent of pre embargo Cubano's. Bucanero has achieved many industry awards. “El Capitan Maduro” earned the highest rated cigar in Smoke Magazine’s history (fall of 2001) and in 1999 Smoke Magazine awarded Bucanero as one of the Top 5 Limited Production Premium Cigar Manufactures of the 20th Century Worldwide. Playboy Magazine selects Bucanero as one of the ten best cigars worldwide (summer 2001) and Cigar Aficionado honored Bucanero as one of the Top 25 Cigars in the world 2004-2006.
