bucanero 5 pack samplerindustry updates
new releases
Bucanero Cigars to Debut 5-Pack Sampler on A Cigar Podcast! Bucanero Cigars, headquartered in Tampa Florida with factories in Costa Rica and Nicaragua is still known today as a boutique cigar manufacture. A small company in the cigar industry having 16 original blends is not the norm; most small companies have about 6 blends. Bucanero’s challenge is not creating new cigar blends; it’s having the current cigars smoked. Bucanero will participate in a 6-week sponsorship of a cigar related Podcast called “Dogwatch Social Club” starting on March 23, 2007. The Podcast show will giveaway two samplers a week and Bucanero will offer a 10% discount on the samplers from March 9th to June 14th 2007. “There are a few reasons why Bucanero went through the steps of creating an e-commerce website. First, we receive calls and emails of where to buy our cigars, they tell us they are hard to find. Second, look at how many Maduro wrapped cigars we have. Even though we are a small company we have concentrated mainly on making the best cigars we can. Third, when we host in-store smoker events our sales do very well in that location, but we don’t have the manpower to just do smoker events, so we must do other things so cigar lovers can try our products” says Robert Spoden President of Bucanero Cigars. “For example, can most cigar lovers taste the difference between a Nicaraguan grown Habano Maduro Wrapper, a Connecticut Broadleaf Wrapper and a Costa Rican Maduro Wrapper? If not, our sampler called “Journey of the Maduro Wrapper” is just what the Maduro lover ordered” says Mr. Spoden. “Our goal is not to be in the business of selling cigars to the consumer, our business is to wholesale to tobacconists. But the consumer has trouble finding our product so we are only selling sampler on our website. If you are interested in finding a tobacconist to purchase a box of our cigars, in every state we have “Mainsail Dealers” that carry an inventory of our cigars. All you need to do is email the Bucanero office and we will get you in contact with the “Mainsail Dealer” in your state that will ship you a box with free ground shipping” says Mr. Spoden. “What I enjoy most about Bucanero cigars is the consistent quality and amazing taste. I am very partial to the flavors in the “Treasure of Costa Rica” cigar. That cigar is a Puro and the tobacco flavors are wonderful and complex” says Dale Roush, Co-host of the Dogwatch Social Club. “We've been doing the show for almost 2 years and we just produced our 100th show on Feb 18, 2007. Our show has been involved in the product launch of two other cigars, a humidor and The Puck Humidifier, says Mr. Roush. “I also like the unique flavor of Bucanero Cigars. They are a quality product with a unique flavor profile unlike anything I have smoked from anywhere else in the world. It is really exciting to be a part of a product launch like this. Using the podcast (found on iTunes under Dogwatch Social Club) will expose Bucanero to a much more diverse audience of cigar lovers. Conversely, it allows our audience to be a part of something that is usually only reported on after the fact. Podcasting offers manufacturers a unique and immediate platform that connects them directly with customers that are interested in their products” says Bob McDuffee, Co-host of the Dogwatch Social Club. ---------------------------------- Bucanero Cigars, established in 1995 is a boutique manufacturer of 11 premium and 5 bundled handmade cigars. Headquartered in Tampa Florida with factories in Nicaragua and Costa Rica, Bucanero uses the finest vintage tobaccos from 10 different nations to achieve its signature blending. Bucanero cigars are draw tested, made in limited production and allowed to naturally ferment allowing all bitterness to naturally release from the tobacco, keeping with their tradition of “Purge Free Cigars”. Bucanero produces hard to find blends like the “Treasure of Costa Rica” a true Costa Rican Puro reminiscent of pre embargo Cubano's. Bucanero has achieved many industry awards. “El Capitan Maduro” earned the highest rated cigar in Smoke Magazine’s history (fall of 2001) and in 1999 Smoke Magazine awarded Bucanero as one of the Top 5 Limited Production Premium Cigar Manufactures of the 20th Century Worldwide. Playboy Magazine selects Bucanero as one of the ten best cigars worldwide (summer 2001) and Cigar Aficionado granted Bucanero as one of the Top 25 Cigars in the world 2004-2006.
