Davidoff Golden Band Awards

Premium cigar brand Davidoff recently announced that it would honor its best merchants with the first annual Golden Band Awards Show. Set to take place on August 4 in Orlando, Florida, at the IPCPR trade show, the Davidoff Golden Band Awards Show will feature six award categories: Best Davidoff Merchandising, Best Davidoff Performance, Davidoff Growth Award, Davidoff Appointed Merchant of the Year, Davidoff Industry Service Award, and the Zino Davidoff Legacy Award.
Davidoff will officially announce the Appointed Merchant nominees for its awards in July. The Zino Davidoff Legacy Award is considered to be the top honor, and will go to the Appointed Merchant that has best represented everything that Davidoff stands for over the years.
Jim Young, president of Davidoff North America, commented on the awards in the official press release: “The awards are an opportunity to officially recognize these retailers for their commitment and passion for Davidoff.” Richard Krutick, Davidoff’s marketing director, added: “This annual event will stimulate improved standards in the industry and help drive superior performance and growth.”
