Unlike the Alec Bradley New York line, the Broadway Series from La Aurora comes in just one size. It's a Sumo Toro that measures 5 ¾ x 54. The cigar's filler is composed of a blend of tobaccos from three different nations: the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, and Peru. The binder comes from the Dominican Republic, and the cigar is topped off by a double wrapper. The inner wrapper is of the Ecuadorian Sumatra variety, while the outer comes from Nicaragua. As a tribute to New York, the cigar has a large band that displays a depiction of the famous New York City skyline.

The Broadway Series is set to sell at a retail price of $12.25 per single. While that may seem a bit high, keep in mind that the price includes the ridiculously high New York tobacco tax of 75 percent. Once you consider that tax is included in the price tag, it appears to be quite reasonable. In order to attain its price, Guillermo Leon stated that the company worked hard to keep production costs as low as possible when making the Broadway Series.

If you want to get your hands on the Broadway Series, you will have to be in New York. Luckily, the cigar's introduction comes just in time for Christmas. The Broadway Series' official debut comes on Monday, December 20. To kick off its release, La Aurora is holding a special dinner at the Cigar Inn in Manhattan. The three-hour special dinner begins at 7pm and will has a roster of guests that includes Nestor Miranda, the aforementioned Guillermo Leon, and Rene Castaneda. The trio forms some of the principal men currently in charge of Miami Cigar & Company, which is responsible for distributing La Aurora Cigars. If you are lucky enough to attend the sold-out event, be sure to given the men responsible for the Broadway Series' release a big thank you. Considering the tough economy and even tougher tobacco taxes, their gesture to release a wallet -friendly cigar is a nice one.
