Snoop Dogg to Launch Premium Tobacco Cigar Brand
You many know him for his musical talents and work in the field of entertainment, but Snoop Dogg is now looking to break ground in the tobacco industry with the upcoming launch of his Executive Branch cigar brand. The official release will take place during the 2012 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 13-15 and April 20-22, where Snoop will headline with his former partner of similar fame, Dr. Dre.
Described as a “premium tobacco cigar brand”, Executive Branch will contain specially selected tobacco from the Dominican Republic. The cigarillos will be sold in pouches of two for an affordable retail price of $0.99. A variety of flavors will be released during the year, including Grape, White Grape, and Classic Sweet.
Snoop spoke about Executive Branch in a press release: “Throughout my career I have been lucky enough to travel the world and try all different types of tobacco products. During my travels throughout South America and the Caribbean, I was fortunate to encounter this tobacco company, Executive Branch and was so impressed by their commitment to quality [far superior than all others], I knew I had to bring them to the States for all my fans to enjoy. Throughout 2012, we plan on releasing new styles and flavors, in which I will be working with their team to make sure all products are up to Snoop Dogg standards.”
No, these smokes won’t provide an experience on the level of a Cohiba, but it is interesting to see celebrities cross over into other avenues, especially tobacco-related ones.
