Event: Cigar and Scotch Night at Franklin’s Tower in Albany, New York

franktower

Franklin’s Tower, a restaurant and tavern in Albany, New York, will host a special cigar and scotch night on Saturday, January 28, to benefit the New Locker Room Fun for the University of Albany’s women’s basketball team. The festivities tip off at 7 p.m. and conclude at 11 p.m.

Besides the aforementioned cigars and scotch, you can expect a selection of hors d’oeuvres and desserts. Smoking is allowed in a specially designated area, and you can enjoy your favorite stogies while mingling with a pair of celebrity guests. Ed Pinckney, a current assistant coach with the Chicago Bulls and former NBA player with several teams will be on hand, as will Susie Essman from the hit comedy show “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

According to the Times Union, tickets can be purchased for $50 in advance by calling Franklin’s Tower at 518-431-1920 or by purchasing them in person at 414 Broadway, Albany, New York. Tickets can also be purchased during the event for $60 at the door. Each ticket includes one free drink.

Just because he is. a Rock Celib he believes he deserves special consideration wherever he goes or the venues. If a fan lite up a cigar he would have been dragged out and cited a nice fine. People like "Kid" ,an appropriate name, give all stars a bad reputation. I hope they will at least fine him. And his fans should do something that will get his attention, like not buying his music, and light one up at his next concert.

on the contrary, i say good for kid rock. the fact that the one patron cited asthma issues is ridiculous. it's not like everybody and their wife was smoking a cigar. it was ONE person. he's only bringing down the credibility of his complaint with that excuse.

yes, it's illegal. any reason cited for kid rock NOT to smoke a cigar beyond that is extremely stupid.
